Welcome to small town New England, mountains and lakes.

The Rangeley Lakes region encompasses 111 lakes and ponds, 31 mountains, and a half dozen rivers and streams.  This area is rich in fly fishing history.
The spring season features famous fishing for brook trout and landlocked salmon, abundant wildlife, and bountiful wildflowers.
Float plane service offers  sight-seeing and day access to remote fishing sites.  Scenic highways lead to magnificent vistas of 4000 foot mountains.

The warm weather draws water sports enthusiasts to the lakes and hikers to the Appalachian Trail.  Mountain bikers ride the local trails.  Campers enjoy the lakeside state park.

The 18 hole golf course boasts views of the lake and mountains.  Horseback riding, skeet shooting, tennis and basketball courts are two miles away in the village of Oquossoc.
Old-fashioned festivals and fairs are held frequently on weekends.  The Fourth of July is celebrated with a parade and town BBQ, followed by fireworks over the lake.

September is prime fly fishing.  The Maine mountains blaze of fall foliage, providing a splendid backdrop of the covered bridge built in 1901.

Frost decorates the morning landscape and upland game birds challenge the hunter, followed by the big game seasons; whitetail deer, bear, and limited moose permits.

As the snow flies, Saddleback Ski Area opens.  Machines groom valley and mountain Nordic ski trails.  Three Snow Cats groom 150 miles of snowmobile trails nightly. Snowmobilers gather for Rangeley's famous January Snodeo; featuring dinners, races, parade and fireworks.  Sled dog races are featured the second weekend in March.

The municipal airport and seaplane base offer the options to fly-in via local charter or privately owned aircraft.
The quaint towns of Rangeley (pop. 1090) and Oquossoc (pop. much smaller) offer restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, museums, library, movie theater, ice cream parlors, antique stores and boutiques.
The loons call across the water at night and you may view the Northern Lights.
